Kala caste of Uttarakhand

KALA is an Indian Garhwali clan, with the same surname, found in Uttarakhand in northern India. The original first  village of the Kala's is 'Sumari' situated near Srinagar Garhwal, the ancient capital of Garhwal. The Kuldevi (Clan deity) of Kala is 'Gaurja'/'Gaura'.
